Frohike Records is not just a label, but a form of expression. The attention to visual detail and physics, the special attention to specific groups and musical genres, the determination to pursue a project that involves huge sacrifices these and many other details are to connote the creation of Simon and Martha have unique characteristics, as is the union of their personality to shape the essence of structural Frohike. Young guys try to prove that age, in days like ours where the values \u200b\u200bhave gone drastically distorted, it is still possible to create an initiative that brings forward in his little more than a "battle" economic and social development. Hence the use of recycled materials, popular prices, simple means of production but effective and a lot of manpower.

[Simon] - Frohike is theoretically founded in the summer of 2007, although in practice we have not accomplished anything until early 2008. Born mostly by chance, they simply wanted to say "Ok, we also us!" and nothing more. There were no big claims, no great efforts behind. We wanted to give a little hand, but had no money, no experience and without many options. This led to make so many mistakes. But as they say, makes perfect, right?
When you realize that this was the way you wanted to take?
[Simon & Marta] - No was a precise moment, at most we can say that there were several moments and then some decisions that have given their fruits. We like to think that the way we have built on their own without having to follow the beaten paths. You know the usual story ...? That where there are two paths through the woods and then choose the one less traveled for being "different"? Here, we have solved the original problem, we climbed the trees of the forest and we launched with lianas like Tarzan in the jungle. [Marta] - The methods are different and possible, nothing fixed, so many ideas that blending in the head, often quite by chance at the right time.

But we are also aware that the disks are the objects and people make it hard to buy them. So it is logical to think that if the disk is also nice to see, touch, smell as well as beautiful to listen to, people can buy it much more willingly. Then in the spring we are working to split up between vinyl Hungry Like Rakovitz and Deprogramming, trying to create here a non-trivial packaging. Going to the summer working on the first disc of Block! Antonius Block!, Post-core/post-rock from Milan and we'll launch on cassette, working Caligvla of Antecrux (noise / industrial) and some reprints on tape drives that can not yet say. For now these are just some things, but we we are trying to be able to insert the other two releases this spring with names that are really important to us. And after the summer break will return in the fall with a bang.
