This The deerstalker Redux is a parenthesis between the earlier works of Scaevola and the most recent releases of the duo Ornitology [ Hybris ], almost a "branch" sound that the artist has deliberately undertaken. Andrea takes a branch because some of the elements typical of previously published material, forming a detachment through electronic forms that tend towards more accurate and enhanced sound. Grey is a very pleasant album, where songs are developed on the basis of a dense fluid and where they go to engage hard accelerations shoegaze-style Pyramids, the whole is enveloped in the delicate atmosphere that Scaevola we have become accustomed, if you made it even more palpable, substantial.
Soundscapes brilliant and dreamlike, distended atmosphere, whispers in the distance, drives scattered here and there, then some acceleration followed by electronic progressions of rare elegance All Are Grey Mountains reveals a complete job and refined, rich in detail that to make the play very interesting without boring for too long. To close this are the usual full length collaboration between an artist and Scaevola external to the project, in this case Roberto Grilli, who with his precious contribution comes in a disc already very charming and that bodes well in a sequel just as convincing.
